Incentives

We understand that making the decision to grow or expand in Charlotte is a large commitment both in time and resources. Part of this decision-making process is understanding assistance provided by the City and our partners.

In order to help offset the financial commitment associated with growing your business, the City of Charlotte offers two incentive programs: Business Investment Grant and Opportunity Hiring Grant. More details for each program can be found below. Companies may also be eligible for incentive programs offered by Mecklenburg County, the North Carolina Department of Commerce, and the North Carolina Community Colleges System. Our team can help you understand this process and introduce you to these agencies.

We believe success in Charlotte extends beyond the bottom line. In addition to financial incentives, the City of Charlotte also offers valuable support through customized services such as specific talent acquisition strategies, real estate searches, and connections into the workforce, business and educational community.
